AOL and Microsoft in Talks

Greetings. I saw this a few days ago. If AOL and Microsoft did merge, then it would definitley be interesting to see how Google would react, since as stated in this article, Microsoft is chasing Google in services provided. Not to mention the impact it could have on the current instant messaging software that they both have, and how that might change.
